school for language - where students progress by defeating each other
at word games. Word Duelist features over 15 different word game
challenges and nearly 20 students to talk to across nine different
locations.
Story
Welcome to Morphemial University, a school about words...
Here, people only give information to those they respect, and the only way to get respect is to duel someone and win. But these are not common duels. They are battles of the mind, using words instead of fisticuffs. Explore the campus. Challenge students and professors, and learn enough to challenge the dean, if you ever want to earn you diploma.
Word Games
There are 17 word games to play:
Alphabetic Face Off
Take turns creating 4 letter words starting with the given letter until someone screws up.
Alphabetize
Be the first to arrange the given letters in alphabetical order.
Cypher
Decode the word by shifting each letter forward one letter.
Finish It
Finish the given word before your opponent.
First to Size
Be the first person to create a word with five or more letters.
Guessing Game
Take turns guessing letters. Whoever finishes the word wins.
Highest Point
Find the word that is worth the most points. Rare letters count for more.
Increasing Size
Up & Up! Take turns building bigger and bigger words until someone screws up.
Jumbled Word
Find the word that uses all the given letters.
Longest Word
Create a word longer than your opponent!
Missing Letter
Find which letters fit with the word.
Palindromes
Be the first to find the palindrome using all the given letters.
Reverse Alphabetize
Be the first to arrange the given letters in reverse alphabetical order.
Reverse Cypher
Decode the word by shifting each letter back one letter.
Word Race 1
Find as many words as you can in the time limit. You CAN NOT reuse letters.
Word Race 2
Find as many words as you can in the time limit. You CAN reuse letters.
Word Race 3
Find as many words as you can in the time limit. The letters change after every word!
